No different than a controversial PI call in Football. It happens. Get over it.

How long would it take to review a penalty call? 1 minute? Just add it to the stoppage time. Literally no reason not to have replay.

People are just always opposed to change for some stupid reason.

I hate to inform you, but that was a penalty.

Robben went down easy, but Marquez' foot was in the way. A good striker see that and goes down to draw the call.

The day when diving is considered part of a good striker's repertoire...

It's still a 100% subjective call. After a review one ref might call it, another might not. If you watch the replay on TV, there was contact...that's enough to make that call. I have 0 problem with it, even if it wasn't Mexico.

I don't think you understand the momentum swings in soccer. You can't just go to the booth for a minute or two. It'll disrupt everything. This sport is continuous, replays will destroy any sort of rhythm the teams may, or may not, have

It's much better to ruin the "rhythm" a bit then to have the entire game decided by one bad call.

As an LSU fan, you should know that doesn't matter.

Yeah but how many times does this actually happen?

Missing a call in the box, it happens a lot actually.

To those comparing it American football, terrible comparison. A penalty in soccer is a much bigger deal; you're awarding a goal 80% of the time.

A PI in the endzone gives you the ball at the 1.

And for the record, big penalty calls like pass interference should be reviewed in football. Those calls ruin games too.

How do you review subjective calls. Should baseball review balls and strikes, too?

It's hard to review judgment calls.

I'm sure there were people who were opposed to replay in American football. Now those people look like idiots.

When soccer has replay in 20 years, it will be the same.

I like how you ignore the obvious argument of no challenge flags in football for penalties and just continue trolling the other points

They do have replay I thought on goals.

So should we use K Zone for every pitch? There's no guarantee you make the pk. The system is fine there are dives in hockey to get PP, same difference.

It was a light penalty but he did get Robben's foot (who sold the foul). It was a subjective call by the ref and could have went either way.

Okay, then why don't you just bump this thread in 20 years.
