robben had already been fouled 1-2 times in the box previous to this..he wasn't getting a PK without embellishing

Explain how someone can flop when there is an actual foul? Is the essence of flopping making a foul when there isn't one?

It wasn't a flop, he got tripped. Marquez mistimed his challenged and stepped on Robben's foot. Robben went down to sell the call and was rewarded for it.

By rules yea it was obviously a foul, I'm just saying the rule needs to be changed IMO. I don't agree with players being rewarded for these acting jobs.

Well then I suggest you stop watching the game. You get fouled hard in the box you go down. Its not flopping. Its just not being a dumb arse. You get fouled that badly and you sell it.

Even if he didn't embellish, it was a foul. That's the point. Whether he goes down easy or not it's still a penalty. The falling and acting has no consequence.

Maybe soccer does need replay, but even if they had it, the foul on Robben was still a penalty. Robben did embellish, but it was still a foul.

I'm not saying you all are dicks and yea I'm a noob but we allowed to have opinions right? I'm enjoying this tourney a great deal but I just disagree with that rule, it just seems way too advantageous for the guys who get "fouled"
