Mexico was NOT screwed.
You can not be behind the second to last defender when the ball is played. The goalie came off the line to attempt to punch the ball, and the Mexican attacker was behind the goalie, who became the 2nd to last defender there (the last defender was the defender on the goalline).
What I'm laughing at is the color commentator, who doesn't know the rules.

The fact that the color guy was so adamant about that being a blown call is absolutely mind-boggling. Beyond ridiculous.
