Florentino in shambles.

unless the plan all along was to force UEFA to increase the payouts, and they follow through with those plans. then hes an genius.

im leaning toward shambles tho.

Surprising to me. The owners had to know this was going to be the reaction by fans.

He's the one who caused the initial problem with the first Galacticos era. Absent that, I imagine transfer prices would have remained far more stable. He's going to be a villain forever.

If the reports from when this broke are true, then it is clear the American owners don't understand, and will never understand the sporting culture. Just sell the club if you don't want to invest your own money you cowards. It's a sporting club, not a business, you fricking morons.

Being told majority of clubs now pulling out. Atlético and Barca also backing out. City, as reported. Americans clinging on according to one source but for how long?

Hopefully they cling on long enough to lose the historic clubs they bought.

They went through having a public release and not have all of the 15 founding teams. Seemed 4/5 baked.

I think they way underestimated the fans and thought they would be stoked to play the other major European clubs regularly like some of the less informed posters in this thread

They need to get the Glazers out. The club produced plenty of money before those leeches got involved.

I guarantee some PR firm told them that there will be some mad diehard fans but everyone will come around when see the matchups and then you all get rich. It was probably hard for the American owners to understand that you can't just give it to the fans raw in England.
