Yeah. But I really still don't know exactly what that's going to mean in the US?
From the way it looks now I may be changing my cable company from Time Warner. Still hoping there's more changes to come in getting coverage on more plans.

I thought it was just Serie A and La Liga?

And Ligue Un
I'll set the over/under of my monopolistic cable carrier in the Deep South carrying a Muslim soccer channel at .0000000005%.
We should get that in Baton Rouge by about 2038.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Unfortunately, it looks like a potentially crowded midfield though.

to be fair they both are but Lazio takes it to a whole different level

Sorry, but I don't get into the nationalist/political/racial issues of clubs.

I dont think many people do. Well to be fair most clubs don't have these issues. Have you read how soccer explains the world yet? Theres a chapter on AC Milan and inter Milan that is very interesting.
Lazio ultras are world renowned though for their fascism. There have been international stories involving several players clashing with the ultras (klose, di canio giving the fans the fascist salute, etc...)

A little late, but I am on this bandwagon. I've been trying to find an Italian team to support.

This is wrong.
Right now, Roma's most politically activist "Ultras" supporters groups are somewhat split between far left/communist and far right/fascist. This is also a fairly recent phenomena. Historically, almost all politically right groups hovered toward Lazio. That Roma has some right leaning Ultras is more in line with the times and successful right wing fear mongering over immigration and blame for economic problems on immigrant groups like the similar trend in the United States. I think this is the same for all clubs everywhere, including lovely England.
In fact, a lot of recent history of clashes between the groups had to do with many Roma ultra's groups having connections to Brigate Rosse.
Of course, a lot of this is common to other big cities with two larger clubs, for example: Real Madrid/right and Atletico/left. These connections have historically been extremely strong in Rome.
However, as we all know, "Ultras" type groups comprise a very minute portion of any clubs' fan base.
Roma's vast majority of supporters who fill the Curva Sud etc are from the very left leaning, urban blue collar populace of the city itself whereas Lazio'a are right to far right leaning inhabitants of the suburban areas north of Rome.
In Roma, it's almost given that choosing to support Lazio, if you grow up in Rome, must be for strictly for some political reason.
The reason Lazio gets, deservedly, more heat for it's fascist supporters than many other clubs through Europe is not simply that they have large fascist ultra groups but that the club itself has not been proactive in denouncing all the incidents (like half the Curva Nord making fascist salutes to Mussolini's daughter etc etc etc). . . In fairness, they seem to be trying a bit more the past year or so --after years of extreme criticism-- like scheduling a friendly against an Israeli club and warnings to police protests.
So, to make a statement like "I don't support fascists" directed toward a club like AS Roma really makes you look about as ill-informed as if you said it about any club from England.

Yeah, I always thought of Roma has being far more left-wing, and if anything Communist, rather than having any right-wing interests. Not to the extent of Livorno, which can basically have Communist party rallies at their home games, but still a very left-leaning team.
Seems like Inter/AC are a much more moderate version of the political nature of Italian soccer clubs.

So is he gonna come off the bench or what?

I had a few more questions about the Roma squad.
Wouldn't Taddei have a role as a winger as well?
Seems like Roma is going to be loaded with quality wingers, attacking mids, and young strikers.
Aside from DeRossi, who is a guaranteed holding mid starer, would there be one or two more staring central midfielders on the team?
And I'm assuming Roma will play with 4 in the back, right? Not 3 central defenders and 2 wingers like 2002 Brazil.
Thanks. And I've heard a rumor that Kjaer will be going to Fenerbahce. I sure hope so

My only concern is that he may not play enough. I don't honestly know what Roma's plan is, but I'd be upset if he finds himself on the bench again.
