I hope you’re right and this really old incident that wasnt denied by anyone, and in which the victim filed no charges and married the attacker is enough to ensure that US soccer has no choice but to not give him another contract.

It’s worth noting that she says that Gregg is “significantly minimizing the abuse”.
Reading between the lines, she believes her friend married a piece of shite woman abuser who she eventually accepted but then who benched her son in the World Cup and then talked shite about him afterward in a way that could be expected to damage his career.
And now he released a long statement that minimized what he did and claimed the moral high ground.
She must hate him with the fire of a thousand suns by this point.
Of course he won, and the narrative is that poor old Gregg got blackmailed during the World Cup. What a stupid world we live in.

And that's the problem, you're letting your preconceived notions of Gregg cloud your judgment when the evidence that are available are pretty straight forward.
This is not in defense of Gregg as a manager, something he won't be for the USMNT anymore. This is in defense of people who get canceled by bitches because they don't like the person they are trying to cancel.
