Would assume that if a rule is change the whole CBA needs to be negotiated
I honestly don’t pay much attention to the national Anthem in NFL games so can’t really remember any kneelers

People have complained she’s a kneeler but it seems like she hasn’t knelt since 2016

I respectfully disagree. She used to kneel, which frankly I think is stupid but isn't going to impact my life or viewing preferences. I think she was told she couldn't on the USWNT, and in response, she said she would never sing the anthem again most likely, wouldn't put her hand over her heart and that when she didn't it was a "frick you" to Trump.
She's been pretty loud and out front about the whole thing, so it's not like she's a quiet person making a subtle protest that people are latching on to. She is doing it with a purpose and is public about it, even when representing the national team.
Of course, I don't think it's as big a deal if it didn't get combined with all of the other USWNT > USMNT and pay gap stuff.

It's not that it is one thing, it is a combination of a lot of high profile players, including former captains, that make me hate the USWNT.
They continually sue and bad mouth the USSF. Granted the USSF sucks, but in what other line of work can you continually sue your employer and bad mouth them to anyone that will listen and still work for them? They completely ignore facts and evidence and play up this mistreated angle when in reality I couldn't imagine women athlete's anywhere else in the world have it better.
Hope Solo was allowed to continue to play, and captain, the team after she beat her nephew. If her legal issues were a male athlete, they would be completely ostracized.
On top of that Hope Solo then had the nerve to run for president of the USSF, and there was a lot of press/statements that not supporting her was "sexist."
Even if it is only a few players, they have the loudest voices, and make cheering for them nearly impossible. IMO at least.

Kareem Hunt is back on a team in the NFL.
Greg Hardy continued to play
Zeke Elliot is still employed
Ray Rice was employed and only suspended until the video came out
It kinda sucks but I do sort of see it at work today
Some pretty high up traders make some pretty bad remarks and are in HR a lot, but they make the bank way too much money and have been there way too long
A younger associate like myself with not as much time would easily be let go
