Christensen is too slow to play at this level. Needs to never start big matches at this club.

Pretty incredible how much frank rates mount. I don’t think he’s been particularly bad, but he’s not getting it done. Play slows down.

I think Mount is playing simply because we have two wingers, and they’re both injured. We could really use some depth there, AND for CHO to return to form. Neither Mount nor Havertz have been playing well on the wing. Werner seems more likely to be competent there, but he’s played so well up top.
I’d have Kai and Mount as my two deep in the 10 role in a 4231 personally. Moving back to a 433 and playing Jorginho still messes everything up imo. But these are the dominoes that fall when we lack depth and add two injuries at the same position. Everyone gets shifted around and into sub optimal locations for the most part.
Then your CB shows his free safety range and tackling prowess, and then your GK says hold my beer.

Now there are rumours that they’re looking to move Rudiger. Maybe with West Ham’s poor start they’re more ready to consider moving Rice

Mount is an extremely good presser and player. I just don’t see him having the X factor. I don’t see him starting at pool or city, but I see puli and havertz getting the nod

If true that’s really surprising. Both from a depth chart perspective as well as him supposedly “recruiting” Kai and Timo.
Perhaps west ham want a cb as part of the rice deal? If he’s not injured, the only thing that seems to make sense is a transfer. If Chelsea can land rice in exchange I think it’s a good deal.
All of this is massive speculation on my part though.

we know Thiago and Christensen arent long term answers, for different reasons. Zouma has value, but if Tomori doesnt establish himself this year, we may need 2 starting caliber CBs next year, not just one.
dont know why we arent looking at Skriniar. Inter are interested in at least one of our surplus left backs, seems a deal could be struck pretty easy.

would easily knock off at least 15-20m of whatever theyre asking for Skrinier, cant be more than 40-50m as a starting price.
