Boyd finna eat. Wondering if the perpetually hurt jozy is going to actually play, or if we should continue to rely on Gyasi’s face for goals.

T&T can choke on a plantain.

Hey guys I have a question. My family is kinda kicking around going to the Final if we make it as a 4th of July trip. Are Mexico games in America that bad or just kinda like an SEC road game? Other than the outlaws is there a way to be in a more USA section?

so this will be like Stony Brook in the LSU Baseball Regional this year

everyone will want to talk about the last time the 2 teams played... and not walking to talk about how the 2 teams are completely different from that last time

I'm assuming the USA should win this match by > 1 goal

am I off base?

Yes, we should win this game comfortably. Especially if Jozy can play. T&T’s best attacking player is a below average forward in MLS. Doesn’t mean anything once the ball is kicked, of course, but on paper we have a talent advantage pretty much everywhere on the field.

I want to see us build from the back and through the middle much better this game. Last game wasn’t good enough. They left Bradley too isolated and gave up some silly turnovers. The midfield needs to be more cohesive today.

The media and fans will see this as a revenge game, but honestly I don’t think the players will. Our guys who were there in Couva will play with a little extra passion, but that’s about it. Most of the players on our team and theirs weren’t there that night. We’ll never truly get revenge for such an embarrassing defeat. I’d rather our guys not worry about that, and instead just focus on a dominating performance tonight.

After tonight Maury Povich will open an envelope and read something like... 'Trinidad and Tobago, you are not the father'.

This is a decent comparison except that Stony Brook in 2012 was more talented than LSU. Trinidad in 2017 was not even remotely close to as talented as the US.

Yeah, Stony Brook had Travis Jankowski in CF, along with a bunch of other studs.

We had Raph Rhymes, Mason Katz, and Alex Edward in the outfield.
Not exactly the ideal defensive outfield. It’s why Mainieri completely shifted his outfield recruiting strategy after that season.

Apparently that game fricked up Pulisic mentally for like months on end... I think he either comes out and kills every single T&T player or he presses too much.

Stony Brook should never be able to out-talent LSU

just like Trinidad & Tobago should never be able to out-talent the USA

That Stony Brook team had like 2 1st round picks and 5 guys go in the top 10 rounds. It was a freak thing.

T&T didn’t out-talent is that night, we just had a god awful game plan and choked big time.

I largely agree. However, I do think Howard's decline did play a huge part in one of their goals.
