Obviously I’d take being in the semifinals of the Copa America, but if we were in a group where two teams we played had red cards for a good portion of the game, and then beat a pretty mediocre Venezuela team in PKs people would not be praising GGG the way they’re praising Marsch.

Agreed. I’m pretty turned off by the rest of his career as well.

Steve and Wilfred Nancy are the only MLS coaches I would be remotely happy with. The problem is we will have to wait for them until the MLS season is over.

I believe the decision has been made and they are lining things up like a possible interim coach that's why they have already signaled an announcement.

Euro Semis
#2 France vs. #8 Spain
#4 England vs. #7 Netherlands

Copa America Semis
#1 Argentina vs. #49 Canada
#12 Columbia vs. #15 Uruguay

All top #15 in the world.
Except Canada.

The Doug McIntyre update is deflating.

The unwillingness to drop greggg a long time ago is deflating. It was obvious he had to go regardless of the Reyna saga because on paper he’s not a good coach. We had the chance after the WC, waited six months and still rehired him. Now we’re surprised of this current outcome? USSF just can’t see the forest through the trees.

I saw one of those Facebook flashes say that Steve Cherundolo is being seriously considered for the job.

Why is it so hard to realize that American coaches aren’t up to par? Jesse is as close as we come to that…

What Pulisic means is that Gregg took the lads to Chuck E Cheese for a bonding event to get their vibes up. They will really stick it to the Virgin Islands next time out and the USMNT will be back!

By stick it I assume you mean we win 2-0 even though it should have been 8-0 but we squandered chance after chance.

But ggg will reference our xG of 7.7 because that’s all that matters.

If only. Probably going to be Steve Cherundolo. Marsch is laughing at us in Canadian right now. The rest of the world is just laughing at us.

Wilfred Nancy

Don’t get the love for him

Only 3 years as a head coach.

Is the USMNT (that is hosting the World Cup and has decent players) that horrible of a destination for a coach that we have to convince ourselves an inexperience old coach is something to get excited about?

He is not some young up and coming coach.

He’s not some well respected former player or even a former player with experience.

I’m sorry but I’m sure some people on this board have more experience playing than he did.

He is some old random dude that happened to win the MLS cup. Once

It’s like USSF is paying people in the media to talk him up and then fans pickup it up and running with it.

So then we fire Gregg. Hire some random dude.

Everyone one going to be. We got our man! yay we’re going to win the WC?

Look at Montreal before Nancy during Nancy and after Nancy. Look at Columbus before Nancy and after Nancy.

Him using xG (which is probably the dumbest of the data driven stats in all of sports) to prop himself up after getting eliminated was infuriating.
