How do we go from Klopp to Cherundolo in one day? Jeez man.

Look maybe Cherundolo will be fine, but it’s just disappointing.

Guys like Edgar Moreno already saying it’s Cherundolo. Another “exhaustive” search

USSF gonna USSF. Have to stay in the club. I bet the “interest in Klopp” lasted about 3 minutes just to say they “tried” knowing it was Cherundolo the whole time. So disappointing.

It really is if Steve is the choice. On home soil with a good group of players and we might go cheap

Jack Robinson will be the goalkeeping coach. Klopp will not be the head coach. They 100% tried for Klopp but he politely but emphatically declined. And this all happened last week not recently.

God knows it makes zero sense but for the first time I have the insider real info on a coaching search and it’s for freaking soccer

So why not Potter or Moyes or one of 2 dozen top European league coaches current or recent? Why do we shoot for the moon and the next option is dolo? Such a shite organization.

I have no clue and know nothing about any of this

Just texted my buddy who is close with multiple Liverpool players and coaches last week saying we were going to fire Greg and hire Klopp jokingly

He response was “Nah, mate. You guys already reached out to Jurgen and he said no. But you are getting our goalkeeping coach”.

I would assume Klopp recommended him and we said yes

He hasn’t been announced yet so time will tell if my sauces are legit

Just wasting another cycle. With a home soil world cup no less. Pitiful if true.

Based are not allowed to exist in USSF.

If true that guy is going to hang himself after watching Allison with the ball at his feet and then our keepers

Probably the news isn’t known yet. But. In reality, why would a coach come to the us if he has aspirations to coach in Europe. This job probably won’t up anyone’s resume. Our pool isn’t good enough. Potter is probably hoping for the England job or could get a premier job.
Personally, I think our next coach will be one of the French candidates. Renard, Viera, Henry or Nancy. Jmo from listening to multiple podcasts that probably know nothing.

Klopp was a ploy to appease the fans before they settled back on Cherundolo

I thought he got some flak for liking anti BLM stuff on Instagram. Maybe I misremembered.

If true, we are 100% getting Klopp. Very German negotiating tactic. Wants to see how full of shite we are and if in fact we hire his guy he'll know we are for real about letting him run the show.

This of course assumes the asshats in charge at USSF know what the hell they are doing at a high stakes poker table.

Deere has gone the way of Landon Donovan in terms of the national team they support.

I thought you were joking. Didn’t realize John Deere is actually shifting production to Mexico.

Hopefully, they’re just feeding us Cherundolo as a smokescreen or last-ditch fallback option while we continue to talk with better candidates. That would be an epic disappointment.

Supposedly we’ve been in talks with Herve Renard’s people, and both Egypt and Nigeria are also looking at him. One huge advantage we would have over them is that our spot in the World Cup is guaranteed, while the African qualifying system is brutal (and it used to be even worse). Egypt is on track to qualify currently, but Nigeria are in big trouble.

You severely overestimate the appeal of the USMNT manager position. There’s no comparison vs a European club role. Even an average club in Europe is an infinitely better launch point to an elite club

The solid club managers without a job going into next season are going to be fielding interest in as little as 3 months as clubs start sacking again. Those managers aren’t locking themselves out of their career for 2 years for our coaching vacancy. Particularly given the risk we underachieve and their career is further derailed

The pool of candidates that’s desirable AND a fit for our players AND realistic is very small

61 year old unemployed David Moyes isn’t worth making a run at? He seems to be exactly the type of manager we should be trying to get.
