Forgot about Richards, add him and take either McKenzie or Cannon out Although McKenzie is kinda balling out right now with Genk.

I think Djordje gets a shout just because Gregg called him up last camp, but then he got hurt.

Why is Morris on your list?

He knows the system, Gregg likes him, he’s done ok in camp and has been performing well in MLS.

It’s funny when people feign shock over why Morris and/or Arriola are on the list like they haven’t been paying attention.

Gregg like Arriola’s verticality, something not many of out other wingers have. As for Morris, god love him, you forget he exists in a match 80% of the time, and then he finds the back if the net.

Based on trends, at least one of them is going to Qatar. May not play a lot there, but one of them is definitely going.

Here's my prediction... let's see how wrong I am

GK (3): Turner, Horvath, Johnson
DEF (10): Dest, Yedlin, Scally, Vines, Cannon, Zimmerman, CCV, Long, Ream, McKenzie
MID (6): Adams, McKennie, Musah, Acosta, LDLT, Mihailovic
WING (6): Pulisic, Reyna, Aaronson, Arriola, Morris, Tillman
FWD (4): Ferreira, Pefok, Sargent, Pepi

I would sub Richards for Mackenzie and Williamson for Mihailovic. More emphatic on the former than the latter though

And I really hope we call in Vines to have a true LB option in camp get a look

Alyosha is obsessed with Morris. He comments about him more than anyone else on this site.

That Morris and Arriola have been getting called in.

It’s not that deep, chief

Because I question his supposed quality of play? Why the obsession to defend him? Why not call a spade a spade?

Broski was pretty close!

ETA: No Pefok tells me he's a lock...? right? RIGHT?!

Honestly surprised not to see Tim Ream. I guess the system > the old GGG faves

26, so I’m guessing the replacements are Cannon for Jedi, Morris for Weah and Horvath for Steffen.

Pefok could definitely still beat out Sargent or Pepi , but other than that, I think that’s your Workd Cup roster.

One thing I wonder about Pefok is if Pepi and Sargent are battling each other for the last spot since Pefok is such a different #9 than either of them

You must’ve been really triggered when Morris scored against El Salvador.

Is he a world class player? frick no.

Is he even a lock for the World Cup? Nah

But he is one of the better aerial threats and finishers in the pool. His deficiencies, especially post ACL injuries, definitely hold him back, but I can see why he is brought into camps for depth.

I would prefer Sargent and Pefok at this point. Pepi loses out for being in shitty form.

I’d take Wright over Pepi at this point, but for better or for worse, I think Gregg realizes that an in-form Pepi literally put the team on his back for two World Cup Qualifiers and he is hoping he can unlock that guy for Qatar.

We’ll see.

I am very interested to hear what he has to say about Pefok’s omission, because you know that question is coming when he has his press conference today.

Also, I’m glad to see that CCV did enough last camp to get another call-up, looks like he will be a depth piece for the World Cup.

Only disappointment is Pefok.
