In all honesty I'm just busting balls and appreciate what you do.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. I’m not here to act like some health care martyr (I’m not a nurse lol) but it’s frustrating to see what I see with COVID and have jerks online question my competence, insinuate I have motive$ other than just helping people and providing compassionate care, and just stuff like that.
quote:

I totally understand and agree, but this is not how it was/is presented to the public originally by the dishonest politicians and MSM and some are still banging on that drum.

I agree with this. I hate the media at this point. It’s all garbage and I don’t waste my time. If they just stuck with facts and not inflammatory, hyperbolic bullshite I think our country would be in a better spot.
quote:

The real dagger is the obvious abuse of the situation to institute a lot of government reforms that would never fly in normal times.

I’m pretty politically neutral, but lean libertarian if anything, so the government overreach has bothered me. At this point I think people in health care should be vaccinated but I don’t know that I would even support mandates in that arena, as we have a severe nursing shortage nationwide and mandating vaccines means you may actually do more harm than good by further decreasing the nursing pool. It’s a tough topic and highly debated right now. An ER in south Nassau just closed due to not having enough nurses after the mandate went into effect.

ETA:
This is the only part I will disagree with:
quote:

Given it is not stopping the spread and the almost zero risk the virus poses to young healthy people, that's another huge red flag for me.

The vaccines decrease viral load and decrease severity of symptoms (pneumonia, shortness or breath, coughing, etc), so I feel confident in saying those factors should decrease transmissibility. I go back and forth on the young people thing. I don’t have a straight answer for people who ask me if their kids should get the vaccine. But more data is coming out showing that COVID is having a higher relative increase in deaths for the 25-44 age group than other age groups, due in part to that group being pretty healthy at baseline and main causes of death being accidents, ODs, and suicides. Here is a link to an article and video on this topic, from a Yale epidemiologist. I just learned about this yesterday so this is new to me. LINK

John Fleck of Sheffield United collapsed on the field. I’ve never seen anything like this in all my years.

Yeah, no motives at all.

Again, they won't even let you talk about it. Though anyone with an ounce of critical thinking would question what is going on. Yet bring it up and the producers shut the program down and you get blasted all over the media.

The same people creating the entire shite show are just doubling, tripling down and digging in deeper and their message is increasingly lost on much of the public.

I've also heard people mention we are just noticing more because of the internet. We've had that for 30 years at this point and it's not like soccer wasn't huge even before that. Doesn't Europe have or had a different version of the shots?

I think that early on the AstraZeneca shot was more prevalent there and they stopped using it because of the clotting risk.

Would be interesting to know which of these footballers got that shot versus the new one.

Lindelof added to the list. Are we really going to pretend this is normal?

Idk man, but you can probably google that. Hard to compare the two though just based on scale. We still diagnose swine flu from time to time.
