I'm guessing ESPN was going for Brazil.

Still shows 73 minutes left and 2-0.

The anti-Brazil hate is super weird. Neymar is an unbelievable bitch but Brazil was entertaining. They created space for themselves remarkably well.

I despise almost every player on the team (with the possible exception of Coutinho), and I will hold their funeral for Neymar last WC against them for the rest of my life. That level of bitchiness is not redeemable.

so since France and Belgium are meeting up in the semifinal... will Germany try to backdoor them both to get into things?

Probably but then England will show up and stop them

Of all the teams left you don’t choose Russia?

De Bruyne loosely translates to "best player in the world after Messi and Ronaldo

This came from early in this thread but,

I love de bruyne's tenacity and possession of the ball. He wasn't as active in the 2nd half but damn I love that ginger!

Brasil will always be my 2nd team because of the time I have spent there and the fact that the only 3 pro games I have ever attended were in Brasil.

But they are out, so I would love to see England bring the trophy home.

A few thoughts. Marcelo was fantastic today. Could have been MotM in a losing effort in my opinion
On the other hand to me Neymar fricking sucked this WC. Dude spent more time rolling on the ground than having good link up play with his teammates
Fellaini played his role today and frustrated the hell out of Coutinho.
I’ve always loved counter attacking soccer and my god when Belgium does it it is something to behold
