Any ideas where to watch the European Championship in New Orleans? Is there a good bar/place that is a soccer hangout or French fan HQ?

Finn McCool's Irish pub is the best soccer bar in New Orleans. Expect it to be packed. Not sure about French fan headquarters.

Just go to Finn's...French HQ won't be a thing.

Get there early if you want a seat at the bar or something decent. As mentioned, it will be absolutely packed out. Be patient with the awesome bartenders getting a drink. They work their asses off.

I went to Finn's twice in last couple weeks to watch, they have the TV's over the bar, decent bar food, and a huge as wall projector tv with tables to watch the game.

Is it jam packed elbow to elbow or will there still be room to move around and get to the bar and rest rooms etc. and still get back to a decent spot where you can watch?

what about a place like the Beer Garden on Jeff Davis, will it still have soccer fans watching but less crowded or will they even know it's on? Been there for LSU games and Saints games before and TV set up is OK.

Bayou beer garden will be better if you want breathing room. Not sure how many soccer fans will be there, if any.

anywhere else to go watch that would have it on all their TV's and have soccer fans, but not be so crowded?

Maybe Tracy's or rendezvous. Bayou beer garden is another option.

Yeah the only places I've ever watched games were Tracy's, rendezvous, Finn's, and bayou beer garden. Finn's will probably be stupid crowded. You will have to sit outside and it's hot as balls right now. I would try the other places but I'm not sure what kind of atmosphere to expect there since it's not a US game.

I'm at Finn's nearly every weekend during EPL season and I have never seen it as crowded as it was for Italy/Germany.

We decided on Cooter Browns out of convenience and breathing room for the France/Iceland match. We had the big table in the back to ourselves with the match on the projector. It was a nice setup and a solid alternative to Finns.

I love Finn's but do not like it for popular national team games. It's great for early weekend viewing of European club games but the crowds for other games can get suffocating. There is just not enough space inside for it. Mid city yacht club is another viewing option.

Does rendezvous still show soccer after the outlaws bolted?

Plenty of English expats visit that place.
