Because Belgium is skipping the midfield, Pogba can man mark Fellaini while Kante handles the center of the field by himself. It's neutralizing Belgium's game plan because France is able to keep both center backs free to clear crosses and step to hazard, Lukaku, KDB when they come through the center.
