Not ready for the big time. Leeds would be a better location. :)

i was hoping he would get a call to Europe

kid has speed to burn, and with some euro tutelage, he could become a force at RB or RM/AMR.

He could turn out to be a really good fullback for a really big club IMO. He has the skill and the balls to get forward and help out offensively and the athleticism to stay with almost anyone on the defensive end. And he's only 20. I have really high hopes for him.

Brendan has been good with developing young talent, but I think Italy would be a good place for him to be to get a better tactical grasp of the game and work on his technical skill

Nah, we got Byram at RB... have way more urgent needs... although Julian Green could be a nice player for us.

He can't go to Liverpool. The bin dippers would steal everything he owns. Seriously, Genoa would be a good place for him. He needs to get some quality international club experience.

Looks like Roma

quote:

Let's start with the meat of it: DeAndre Yedlin is all but an AS Roma player. The deal is lacking only the dotted i's and whatnot. He will remain on loan to Seattle for the rest of the season and then may go out on loan again to another Italian club next year. I should have another detail or two at some later point.

Multiple outlets now reporting Yedlin to Roma.

LINK

quote:

Roma have reportedly beaten Genoa to a deal for USA right-back DeAndre Yedlin, who’ll remain at Seattle Sounders on loan.

The 20-year-old impressed at the World Cup, where his side pushed Belgium to extra time in the Round of 16 after knocking out Portugal.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have won the race to sign Yedlin, beating interest from fellow Serie A side Genoa.

The Giallorossi’s majority shareholders are American along with President James Pallotta, who is based in Boston.

It’s believed the deal for Yedlin will leave him on loan at current club Seattle Sounders until July 2015.

Sweet, I'm by no means a hardcore Roma supporter but I really have liked watching them ever since MB was there. Really glad he will be staying in Seattle until the end of the season, as long as we don't face them in the MLS Cup!

Hopefully Seattle and MLS get a hefty transfer fee.

I'm not sure those are iron clad sources but I would like that. I think Roma and Genoa would combine for the transfer.

Co-ownership is no longer allowed in Italian football...

If you mean Roma buy and loan to Genoa, then I misunderstood..
