Greg Seltzer is saying Yedlin will most likely go to Italy this coming January.

Love that, as long as he's not on the bench. Italy is the place for our defenders to learn. He'll make himself into a great wingback if given the shot.

This seems like a pretty big success from what seemed even to Jurgen supporters like a questionable decision. Kudos to Yedlin for delivering when he got a shot.

Hell yeah, I would live to see him at Roma

Cagliari just hired Zeman. I'd love it he ended up there on loan next winter and the following season.
Not sure he'd get the typical Italian defensive drilling but Zeman's a marvel developing attacking talent.
Really, though, where he would go on loan would depend mainly on which mid/lower-tier club (with a good relationship with Roma) would have an extra non-EU roster spot.
I actually think Roma's interest has dated back to last summer's match against the MLS All-Stars. There were a few rumors then that Sabatini had Yedlin on his list of teenyboppers (along with the attendance rosters of every Argentinian grade school.)

This board would have a stroke if Yedlin spent a significant amount of time under Zeman

If the Genoa interest is true, then it makes a lot more sense for Yedlin to go ahead and move now before the summer.
Genoa's starting RB Šime Vrsaljko from last season just moved to AC Milan so Yedlin would have seem to have a decent chance to win a starting job or at least a lot of PT.
Often the young guys coming during winter break are too far behind to see much PT during the spring.

@BrianSciaretta: This report by @AnthonyRavas says: MLS/Seattle are looking for €5 mill for Yedlin. Lyon, Inter, Roma interested.

Watched Yedlin fairly closely last night. I'm impressed more and more with his technical ability. He's got a long way to go, but he's come a long way in a year. Maybe it's confidence or training or both, but he looks like he could eventually be a CL player. Not sure he's ready now, and I worry that he'll disappear in a bigger league, but I also believe our players should challenge themselves and take these kinds of chances.

He definitely played with swagg last night.
I thought there was a fair amount of technical ability on the field from both sides, actually.
It's worth the risk for him financially - his value is at an all-time high right now.

Unless he goes to Roma, but I am sure Roma would loan him to a mid table side.

As long as he is playing. It seems like European teams are buying US players low and hoping for a bargain. This time last year I was praying for overseas interest for any and all of our players...
with the WC over I am starting to prefer MLS.
