Not sure if it's the same on the Boys side and MLS Next, but on the girls side the Girls Academy teams have completely changed the landscape of BRSC and Black/Red level teams Outside of the 07 team, virtually none of the previous Black players from 2010-2005 are still around, or playing just BRSC full time. Assuming Girls Academy catches on and works as intended, the best players will always be on those teams, and Black teams will have the kids that would have been Red before Over time that very well may raise the level of play for all involved, but for this year at least it's been a huge shock to the system
That happened to all the BR black boys teams last year when MLS Next started.
2004 black -
maybe one of best teams in the state in a while
mostly stayed intact
played in Midsouth and NL Pro
made QF of Regionals (and lucked into Nationals due to a cheating opponent
2005 black -
lost some to MLS Next but wasn’t a top team before or after
still comp 1 at least
2006 black -
lost a lot to MLS Next (9 former BR on team)
last BRSC team in Midsouth
Made finals of Regionals
2007 black -
lost some to MLS Next but wasn’t a top team before or after
still comp 1 at least
2008 black -
lost some to MLS Next but wasn’t a top team before or after
still comp 1 at least
2009 black -
lost some to MLS Next and not in comp 1 anymore
2010 black -
lost some to MLS Next and not in comp 1 anymore
2011 black -
don’t have MLS Next yet and not in comp 1

Y'all are so soft. If you're getting roughed up and the ref isn't calling it you gotta take matters into your own hands sometimes and give as good as you're getting. Kids need to learn that, there's not always someone there to bail you out.
A kid taking up for himself is one thing. Parents yelling at players, refs and coaches are another.

Does anyone know if the rankings on usarank are halfway legitimate or in general how they’re calculated?

I'm seeing some major youth clubs/teams missing from there and it seems that they have to actually join-up to be ranked.
The go-to is GotSoccer as it's usually the default scheduler for most leagues and tournaments so they can easily pull the data.
