Nothing really anymore. iPhones and androids do the same damn thing nowadays but might use different apps to accomplish whatever the task is at hand.

The biggest difference I still see is android allows users to really get in and customize the OS or look/feel where iPhones keep you more locked and boxed in.
I personally, just don't have the time to do all that shite. Is it fun? Yes, can be if you nerd out to that stuff. I definitely see and understand the customization that android allows and get why people love it.

The hilarious part is a bunch of tech nerds all pilling in on tech nerd boards about how great it is to do tech nerd stuff on their phones that "can't" be done on an iPhone, and calling others sheep, when so many millions out there don't give a shite and don't want to waste time doing tech nerd stuff to their phones in the first place. Makes you wonder if the real sheep are the ones that are slaves to their phones...

Apple is great if you fully buy into their ecosystem. Everything just works well together. I have always been Android because I hate iOS, and I run Linux on my PC and laptop, so the ecosystem is not a selling point.

yeah, until you have to use an iPhone.

It's not about customizing the look for me (although that's cool) but about customizing for productivity.

And android is like a PC in regards to how the file system works. And just general usage of the phone makes so much more sense than the UI of iPhone.

And yet we're constantly hectored about how "intuitive" it is and how it "just works". All kidding aside, I find the exact opposite to be true.

it's very much the opposite of intuitive. It drives me crazy how bad it sucks. Most people don't care though as long as they can FaceTime and blue bubble chat.

I noticed my apps worked better on iPhone. I’m just glad Android has finally caught up to IPhone.

Yeah but that's too complicated when your user base is 80% females. Gotta make the phone really simple and easy more than anything else.

I'm a little over a month now having this new Android.

And holy shite it is holding up.

I started with the very first iPhone years ago when it first came out and have probably had 10 different ones since then.

Between that timeframe I have used android many times for work, etc and I just hated it. Hated everything about it.

Android has come a long arse ways since the last time I was on one a few years ago. I can tell that Google has been working hard trying to catch up with ios and I feel that they have finally exceeded

After a month of using this new Android, I gotta say that it is the best phone I have ever owned. There are so many useful things this phone does that was annoying to do on iPhone.

I even love the Google messenger it came with

I wanted to give it a month before declaring an Android victory and after a month, this phone is still blowing me away.

Just thought this would be a fun little update to see if I still like the Android over iPhone and I 100% enjoy this Android over any iPhone I have owed in the past.

If I was buying an android today, I'd probably get a Moto G Stylus 2025. For $300 it's pretty much a no brainer. Headphone jack, SD card slot, Stylus, 6.7" 120 Hz screen, and a decent SoC (Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.)

Also get Android 15 installed, but 2 major upgrades so 16 and 17. Plus, security upgrades for 3 years.

I mean, for $300, it's hard to beat. No, it's not a flagship, but honestly flagship phones are largely overpriced.

I wish Samsung would make another "active" model that is hardened and waterproof. Those were never flagship but one of the best rugged phones that I ever had.

Too much competition from Apple and Samsung squeezed them out of the market.

I got a Galaxy a few months ago and gave it the old college try. I couldn’t take it. This was weird because I had a galaxy 8 years ago and liked it.

I used to switch back and forth and perhaps all of my most fun phones were Android

But now I just want stuff to function. I'm Mac at work and home, passwords, Safari, Apple Pay, etc. Too far gone to branch out anymore.
