Have only been skiing a few times as a kid/teenager. Going with a few friends (40 yrs old) next week to Breckenridge. I've never been there before but a couple of the others in our group have in past. I think we have everything figured out with rentals, lifts, etc.

Most of us are beginner level like me and we'll all be into some of the nightlife. Feel free to offer any suggestions for Breck in general.

Won't be hard to spot them in line for the Beaver Run chair decked out in camo LSU winter gear.

Only 2/5ths of our group are LSU fans but we all probably have a less than ideal opinion of the Aggies. I've learned in recent years that nearly everyone in Texas makes fun of you guys.

I've met a few cool ones and always tried to block out the stereotypes but it's puzzling that the Aggies embrace them with a 'unified official response' that makes them look even worse. It's like y'all practice the comebacks at your Yell leader sleepovers.

Then I guess all of my Breck suggestions I could give you would probably be less than ideal in your opinion as well

Are the half day group lessons with a maximum of 5 people worth it?

You will learn more in a half day of ski school than in a full day of trying to learn yourself if that is what you are asking

27 in the last 24 at the Boat and still snowing. No friends or family on powder days like this!

I get the sentiment of "no friends on a powder day", but man, nothing beats a powder day with a squad of friends. Just gotta find friends that can keep up.

I'm a solid level 5 or 6 skier. Looking to improve. What's the better deal?
$150 for half day group lesson Max of 5 people, supposedly people of similar skill in this group

Or $500 for half day private? Tia

Exactly. The phrase should be “no friends that can’t hang on a powder day”.

Some of my friends are up in Steamboat this weekend. Seeing their videos on FB, looks amazing.

Do powder baskets on poles actually make enough of a difference to care about or should I just buy some $30-50 Rossi Stove Pipes?
