Where in the alps are you? Heading to Elmau Austria in March for the first time.
Chamonix area. I regard Austria as the Mecca of skiing and envy u. For them it’s at the heart of their culture and they don’t mess around. Highly recommend to anyone. Haven’t been to Elmau though

Unreal conditions in Banff this week. Lake Louise got 70 cm of snow in 24 hours. Took advantage of the extra powder and played around in the park:

Headed to Vail for MLK day, will be my only ski trip this year. Super pumped to get back on the mountain.

Nice! I'm up in Nakusp hell skiing with CMH kootenay. We got about 50cm of snow the last few days. The backcountry has been pretty stable and its the best trip ive ever been on. Will post pictures later if I can figure it out.

First day in Keystone today. Visibility kind of rough for the afternoon but overall having a great time. Will try to have another day or two in keystone and one in A basin. Any other places I should look into with my keystone pass given current conditions? It's good for multiple resorts in their network.

Breck
Beaver Creek
Vail
The conditions will likely be similar given the close proximity to one another.

Just Vail. Avoid BC and Breck if choosing one

If you don’t mind me asking, what are the costs of your Heli skiing trip?

Not a problem at all. The cheapest I found was probably the most difficult program I picked. It was the CMH Kootenay lodge called Steep Shots and Pillow drops. It's 10 guest and you ski with a pro. This week we skied with Lucy Sackbauer and she was awesome to ski and hang out with. We skied incredibly steep lines and actively looked for cliff lines and pillows and steep chutes.
With that said this program was roughly 5K U.S. and included all meals.
Airfare from Lafayette to Spokane is about $700 and then you have to rent a car and drive the 6 hours north. So that's about $400 for the whole week.
You'll need to tip the guides and the hotel staff at the end so add in another $500 and you can do it for $7K. I just went by myself as well.
CMH has several other lodges as well that are close to the same cost. I think I'll go next year to a different lodge and do a "signature trip". It will be a bit easier and a few bucks cheaper.
Let me know if you have any other questions about it. I would do it again in a heartbeat and am already looking for my next Heli trip.

We're leaving next Wednesday for Keystone. 3 couples in our mid-20's. Can anyone give us a few cool hangout spots to grab some beers and eat? Also how slammed with the mountain be on the weekend since its MLK? If I recall correctly, they aren't allowing EPIC passes that weekend.

No blackout for epic or epic local passes at Keystone/Breck/ABasin. Mountain will be a clusterfrick. There isn't much in Keystone, just a couple of average bars and restaurants in the village. Snake River Saloon, the Goat is about it outside of the village. Take the bus or an uber to Dillon, Frisco, or Breck for any resemblance of nightlife. Other than skiing, Keystone is boring as frick and quiet after dark.

Any of y’all skied Whistler/Blackcomb? Going in February and pretty pumped. Skied Telluride a few weeks ago and conditions are awesome right now.

Does anyone have ski shop recs in Houston? Need to get bindings put on, and I need boots.

St Bernards in the Galleria is where I went for my boots and the bootfitter did a good job. They serve you St Arnolds while you wait.
