I had hoped the second image was enough to explain.

This pattern should yield numerous storms over the next two weeks.

This looks promising...

Still 21 days out until I get my first turns of the season at Brighton, Alta and Snowbird...hopefully the pattern stays active.

Any recommendations on shoes to wear around town? Got all the other layers down, but having trouble coming to a decision on shoes to wear before/after skiing, walking around, exploring town.

I fly there in my tecovas cowboy boots and wear those to dinner and out in the evening and such. For every day wear, to/from the slopes, etc I wear my timberlands

Just make sure you got good grip on the bottom. Youre likely gonna have ice and snow on the ground

Anyone have good ski sock recs that aren't Smartwool?

I ordered some on black friday from Smartwool but am having issues. I'm in a weird situation where I have a PO box for USPS shite because they don't deliver to my house. Smartwool offers 3 free day shipping but not to PO boxes. They also state "Deliveries to PO Boxes and APO addresses ship via USPS. All other deliveries ship via FEDEX." So I put my residential address thinking it'd be FEDEX. In any case, get an email with tracking info today...it's USPS . Email them and they stated they can't change the address since they started processing the order already (it's sitting in KY and hasn't shipped yet). Idiots don't understand it's just going to be returned to sender since USPS won't deliver to the residential address so I just responded saying cancel/refund.

I should've just gone to the store and tried some on rather than putting myself through this experience

I picked up a pair from the Columbia outlet and haven’t had any issues. I figured for under $20 they were worth a shot and I’ve been pleased. I can’t tell a difference when they’re on between them and my smartwool.

Darn Tough. I use the “RFL ThermoLite OTC Ultra-Light Sock”.

I used Smartwools since they came out. They are great winter socks but too thick for skiing for me.

Im loving the evolution. This should be a very productive two weeks across the west. Potentially longer if we continue with the SE ridging.
