If so, what is it like? It’s the world’s largest inland lake. It’s not freshwater but it’s not super salty either. It’s about 1/3 as salty as ocean water.
I know that it’s surrounded by shitty countries, and so that makes it difficult to visit. If anyone has visited it it would be really interesting to hear all about it. You never really hear anything about it here in the U.S.

Never been but I read somewhere or saw a video that landing an airplane there is really challenging.

What brought this about? The airliner shot down? Or something else? Seems like there's a lot of the world I'd rather see first to be honest.

What’s it like? Are there actually places that the public can go to to vacation there? Is it dangerous? Is there any unique wildlife there?

You can go to Baku. There are American oil industry people who go there for work.
