I've actually been talking to a girl that lives in Ringgold but I haven't been up there yet. Does that area have any kind of rep?

Rep for what? There's not much to it. It's a small town that is mostly farm land and subdivisions. Aside from Civil War history, anything that you'll want to see or do is in Chattanooga.
I grew up a town away(Fort Oglethorpe) but lived in Ringgold for a few years. If it has a rep for anything, it's being a corrupt little town, if you don't know the right people. Not unlike Chickamauga, Ga.

There was a reality show on AMC a few years ago called Small Town Security. That's Ringgold.
