Aruba in October

Looking at Aruba for anniversary in October. Anyone with any experiences?

Great time to go. Beaches on west side of island are some of the best I’ve been to. Lots of all inclusive options. You’ll have a great time.

Perfect time to go. My wife and I go the last week of October/first week of November and it's gorgeous. It's typically their rainy season, but we've been the past 5 years at the same time and maybe have had a drop or two of rain.

We dive there every year. It’s not the best, but it’ll do. Visibility is usually pretty good. Haven’t made to trip to Bonaire yet, hopefully we’ll do that in the next few years.

Bonaire is way better for diving/snorkeling. You can just walk out and the reef is just off shore. It is also less crowded and more laid back than Aruba. It just doesn't have the long sandy beaches. The beaches have a lot of coral. About half of Bonaire is a nature park so there is a lot of ecoadventure type stuff to do. Check out Delfins Resort Bonaire.
Aruba is good if you want a big resort with a casino. If you just want to sit on the beach all day or by the pool and drink, go to Aruba. The Hyatt casino resort is very nice.
Curacao is less crowded than Aruba, but has more resorts than Bonaire. The Beaches are more sandy than Bonaire, but the diving is not as good.
The weather in all 3 ABC Islands is always pretty sunny and dry with steady wind. If it rains. It is only for a few minutes. They are arid.
On all 3 the East side is more desolate, desert with rough seas. The West side is where all the beach resorts are. In Aruda, it is pretty much all resorts from the Airport to almost the North tip on the West side.
All 3 islands are very safe. Petty crime has increased in Aruba in the last 10 years due to an influx of illegal immigrants from Venezuela. In Bonaire, they don't lock car doors and probably has the least crime but it only has 20k people compared to 130k people in Aruba and Curacao.
I have been going to the ABC Islands for over 30 years. Now we go to Bonaire. For me, Aruba has gotten too crowded. Curacao has always been more crowded than Bonaire. In 1990 Aruba was like Bonaire is today.
