I always thought it would be cool to visit Nebraska (but I love the country). Haven’t they sold out every home game since the 60s?

I want to be at LSU/OU but we will be at A&M/Texas.

Aggy/Texas gets my vote above everything else in the category this year as those two groups genuinely hate each other and it'll be the first time they've played in Austin in more than 10 years.

We usually hit Longhorn City Limits for a show and cocktails before heading to the Alumni Center to tailgate before the game. If y'all decide on that let me know and I'll be happy to show you around Austin!

Cheers mate, I appreciate that

I did visit Austin 10 years ago, this year and we went to a festival called ACL. I felt like I never really got to see much of Austin because of that so I would love to go back this time round. I guess tickets will be the hardest thing to secure

This one for sure. Texas has put a lot of effort into improving the tailgating the last couple of years and it's decent now. Plus, there are endless things to do aside from the game to round out your weekend.

No Ohio State at Michigan on your list?
Like 20 miles from a good sized international airport. Big college town as well.

I hate both teams but would still want to catch one of those games.

As much as I’d love to go to a rivalry game like that. It’s a hard sell to my wife that we can only afford 2 minute noodles the rest of the trip

Texas/Texas A&M may be off the table then.

For sure, except Austin is a city we would likely visit anyway so it’s not the same as travelling to Michigan just for the game. If the Texas game is worth the cost of the ticket, then It’s definitely an option.

Paul Bunyan's Axe could be fun... Longest-running FBS rivalry and Minneapolis is an easy airport to fly in. Weather sucks (snow game in 2019 was fricking fun since both teams were Top-15) + Wisconsin hasn't been good since 2021, but the pregame and game is always fun because of the crossover between the two states - similar culture/heritage, tuition reciprocity, work, family, etc. I'd be more inclined to say this would be better to attend in Camp Randall but a lot of good drinking and eats in the Twin Cities.

Couple nights in Nashville

Go to the Iron Bowl if you’re going to be that close. Can go to ATL for a couple of days or to fly from there. Or come to Bham for Thanksgiving. Both are less than three hours from Nashville.

Then definitely come to Austin for the game. The entire state will be divided over it and I can't wait to experience my first one in person.

Appreciate all these suggestions, I was hoping it would make my decision easier but now I’m not sure lol. The idea of a snow game in Minnesota does sound pretty cool. Or some Arizona desert scenery.

I think to be safe, I might book in some free cancellation accommodation in a few cities (especially Austin) and maybe see how the season plays out early on.
