Anyone been and have recommendations for family with younger kids? Really just trying to find the best area to stay that mixes seclusion with accessibility to restaurants, boat rentals, etc.

Beaver's Bend Marina runs a pretty good rental operation but it's gotten expensive since the 'rona.
The restaurant scene is pretty crappy, tourist shakedown. The cabins we've stayed at have been nicely decked out for cooking & grilling. Bring your groceries as the stores also suck.
The lake is great.

Cook out for yourself most meals. Restaurant scene isn’t stellar.

Depending on the age of the kids and time of year, rent kayaks and float the Lower Mountain Fork. We use River Rats but there are several that service the river. It's fun and some challenging spots for sure.
Restaurants are ok but can get busy and have frustrating hours. All of the cabins will be accommodating to cooking and families. If you stay in the state park, do not stay at the hotel, it needs a remodel bit the cabins are good. The private cabins in Hochatown are nicer. The only grocery store is in Broken Bow and it's a Pruitt's. Stays busy.
The lake is a fun recreational lake and has some good fishing. I always take my boat/jet skis so I have no idea about rentals.
If you trout fish, the trout area of the river is year round and you can catch some nice rainbows.
