May 2024 we flew DFW into Paris, mid trip train to London, and flew out of Heathrow back to DFW. The RT flight was $1,800/person.

Biggest key is to just be flexible on your dates. There are price drops all the time and if you have like a 2-3 month window that would be acceptable to go during, you can usually get some really great deals. March/April/May have been a great time for flights when i've gone, though i've seen some really good deals pop up for fall travel as well, outside of the big christmas season.
