I thought the pass just admitted 4 people. Did not know it included everyone in the vehicle if you are going to a location that charges by the vehicle. If it is a location that charges per person then it is limited to 4. That info is from the usgs.gov website.
You are right about the 4 passenger limit. It’s always just me and the wife

We just did the Terons and Glacier 3 weeks ago. Second time going to both.
Annual pass covered us and our 3 kids so 5 total.
Except for Polebridge, I would spend most of the time on the East side. The West sides just too crowded for me. You’ll need a vehicle reservation to get to Bowman Lake, though (North Fork Vehicle Res). On the East side, Two Sisters near Babb is a great place to eat, and for a fun place to stay, check out Thronson’s General Store and Motel in Babb. I’d see if they have any openings and change a night or two to here.
Grinnell Glacier is a steady uphill slog, but very much worth it. Get started early. You can knock of almost 4 miles off the hike by taking the boat tour from the Many Glacier Hotel. You’ll likely not get advance res now, but you can wait at the ticket booth behind the hotel, by the dock, starting around 6:30-7am. They open it around 8-8:30, to start a waiting list and to see who didn’t show up for the 9am tour, and you can possibly get on board if someone cancels or doesn’t show. We were at the front of the waiting line and our 5, and 2 others got on board the first boat. They run boats after that as well.
At the Tetons, our favorite hike was at Phelps Lake to Huckleberry Point. Great place to get in the water. The tram in Teton Village was fun.

They do have a small building on the side where they sell some food to go and we got huckleberry pie. It was good. Not sure if that’s what they call the coffee shop.

(Edited OP to show new Route. Stayin inside the park now for 2 nights instead of Whitefish for all 3, cutting out Cody trip, and adding a new route to Red Lodge from Whitefish so that we can take the Beartooth scenic road into Yellowstone on the first day of that visit.)

To me yes, Cody is out of the way and not a whole lot to see.
At least drive to the park exit/entrance on the way to Cody. I’ve seen grizzlies on the way 3 out of 3 times.
In the evening drive from Canyon Village junction towards Tower Falls. A ranger told me he never fails to see black bears in that stretch. Three visits to the park and he’s been right every time I drive that stretch.

Passed by this place on friday evening around 5pm don't think it was open and it was not open for sure on saturday around 1pm.
Highline trail is great. I think you have to include the part up to grinnell Glacier overlook but that makes for 15 mile and 3300' of gain. Hidden lake trail is 3 miles round trip and 600' of gain. Either of these and you have to get to Logan Pass early as in 6am to park or expect parking to take 20 minutes or more depending on your luck.
Avalanche lake is just as it appears on social media. usually very crowded along the easy 4-5 mile round trip hike.
Siyeh pass, iceberg lake, ptarmigan tunnel, cracker lake are all great hikes in the 10 mile round trip range but probably not good for your entire group. maybe look into St. Marys / Virginia falls trail.
Whitefish to red lodge and the Beartooth hwy is going to be long day on the road. if you then enter the park Lamar valley is a nice drive. depending on time and itenary you could exit the north entrance and check out gardiner and drive paradise valley up to livingston. Yellowstone is a lot of driving from site to site. Its awesome in its own way and completely different from glacier.

We are doing Whitefish to Red lodge, sleeping there, then entering park through Crook city via Beartooth the next day.

Drive the Chief Joe highway NW of Cody. It's prettier than anything you'll see in Yellowstone.

I prefer staying in Cody, in and out is easy, getting to other trails in the Shashone is easy, Beartooth is easy. Way less crowded and cheaper.

Finished Glacier part of trip. Maybe I'll post pics later. In Red Lodge town today. This town is a really nice well kept tourist town. Wasn't expecting that as a last chance of direction to take Beartooth pass into Yellowstone but it's very nice for a one day stop.
In glacier I did Avalanche Lake, Highline trail (1.5 hr in at quick pace and turn around), St Mary and Virginia's falls, and Glinnell upper to the glacier. All great hikes id just allicate more time at Many glacier and avalanche lake for the pay off. I tried but I'd had stayed even longer if I gave my family picking me up longer lead times.
Took me 2.5 hours up to Many and that seemed faster as no one passed me and I passed a lot. I spent only an hour up there because I allocated 5 for the hike, but 2 hours would have been better pay out for the climb. Going down was 2 hours but I did that much faster but still only cut a half hour off. So I'd just add more time on.
If I could plan ahead I'd just get Going to the sun road for every day I was there. It's the main artery. We sort of lucked out we got into the park the first day at 3 when it opens up to non reserve. Second day we entered from the east since we stayed in Exxex, and third day we got a Many pass as 7pm when they opened up fir next day passes.
The Logan Pass park center is extremely crowded after 10 am and even way crowded before. But we lucked out finding a spot. East side is best side to stay if you can plan ahead but still get pass if fly in early. Anyways bit intoxicated from our last meal at the Bistro here and need to head to bed I'll add more later.

We have been using the GuideAlong | GPS Audio Tours for both Glacier and Yellowstone. The guy who does it is pretty good and they have a lot of fun facts that are prompted as you come up to a location. In Yellowstone it has become especially helpful because he really does a great job of guiding you where to go and telling you what it is so you know how worth it is. Plus all the fun facts. Id give them a look for any national park etc.
