Going to be staying in between Kennebunkport and Kennebunk for 3 nights Sep 22-25. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do/not do or places to eat in the area?

Thanks

Eat lobster rolls!
Clam shack on the bridge.
Arundels was pretty good too.
Friends really enjoyed Earth at Hidden Pond.

Depends on when you are going as well, a lot of places are starting to close for the season

Nunan's Lobster Hut, opens at 5, get there early to avoid lines
Mabel's Lobster Claw

Federal Jack's Brewery

Take a lobster boat tour or sailing tour from Nonantum Resort - do not have to stay there to book it

You are close to York and Ogunquit - Marginal Walk Way, Nubble Lighthouse

Plenty of outlets at Kittery

Old Orchard Beach Pier

Portland Head Light and Cape Elizabeth lighthouses - almost to Portland not far from Kennebunkport

Lots of good rec's above,

Be sure to drive out Ocean Ave, stop at St. Ann's by the Sea Church, take a look at Bush compound down the road. I think the drive to the Portland Light head is well worth your time, it is the quintessential Maine Light House. Go Hwy 9 for scenic route. Old Orchard was an "interesting" place, you couldn't get much more on the totally opposite sides of the spectrum than Kennebunkport and Old Orchard. Get a scoop at Rococo Ice Cream in Kennebunkport. Enjoy the weather, it should awesome.

Just take your time and walk around the entire downtown. See the Bush compound as well. Great place.

Portsmouth, NH is worth checking out as well as is York, ME.

Forgot to add to maybe dip into Alisson's for lunch, their Lobster Bisque was unreal.

sure i will definitely use some of these suggestions too. We are spending one day in Portland doing a lobster fishing tour where they let you buy the lobsters that you catch.

If you tour the Wedding Cake House and hear a yapping weiner dog across the highway, that's my in-law's place. Go kick that dog for me.

Go the beach around sunset for a walk. Beautiful sunsets.

You can rent kayaks and go out on the river. You could also hire a sailboat and go out on the water.

I love the Palace Diner in Biddeford. It may be takeout only still though.

Portland has some wonderful Asian restaurants. I really like Sichuan Kitchen and Jin Yang.

Friend of a friend owned a boat in Ogunquit harbor so I got to push the pedestrian bridge button. Big moment for me and the kids around were jealous.

I recall Anneke Jans in Kittery being very good.

Northern Union and That Place in Ogunquit are solid places for dinner.

An absolute must. I don't have a sweet tooth but it's the best ice cream I've ever had.
