Mardi Gras Trip Ideas

Guys -
Looking for ideas for a warm climate trip for family of 4 over Mardi Gras week of 2023. Kids are 9&12 and we like to do outdoor stuff and hang on the beach. Ideally fly out of MSY or BTR and budget is hopefully at or near $10K. Have considered Mexico and Carribean, but not really been able to drill down yet.

Looks like Mardi Gras doesnt line up with Spring Training this year, but Spring Training is an awesome time (Cactus League) in Phoenix

Thanks guys, San Diego is on the list. I am not a fan of cruises or disney, so that is out. Keep the ideas coming!

Would love to do Maui, but the 12 hours of travel time is a lot. Looking hard at the Caribbean, but flights are pricey. Which island in the bahamas would you guys recommend? Exumas look cool.

Flying during day time to Maui sucks
Flying through the night to Maui is perfect.

Night flight is great if you can sleep on the plane. If you can’t, take a day flight and power through it when you get there to stay awake until a decent time in the evening.
