Oaxaca travel, covid restrictions, beach towns

anybody been to the state of Oaxaca in the last month or so, specifically Oaxaca city or any of the beach towns? are there any covid restrictions? any place in particular on the coast that you liked?

No information on current COVID-related conditions down there... but I'm jealous. Wife and I went for a quick anniversary trip a couple of years ago, and I'm dying to get back. One of my favorite places we've ever been.

My wife is going at the end of the month to set up our wedding plans in Oaxaca city for later this year. Her family is originally from there. Her mom goes all the time and says things are mostly normal down there. The few tourists that go wear masks, but most of the locals don’t.

I have a friend that recently moved down there for 3 months. She posts quite a bit on Instagram and based on the videos it appears everything is normal, although people are wearing masks indoors. She also took a trip to the beach and it didn't appear people were wearing masks on the beach (which is ridiculous anyways).
