Looking to go in a few weeks. Already done a disney trip. We stayed at a great place, but it was a time share place. I don’t want to get that sales pitch. It was a gift from a member friend.

Anyway, looking for hotel recs.

Is downtown worth anything? We never went.

My son (11) is going with us. So we are doing universal or Disney (Hollywood only). Maybe a theirs place. But have no interest in a single park or paying park lodging rates.

Thanks in advance.

IB4 trashy.

Springhill Suites Orlando Millenia

Less than 5 min to the park, gorgeous area, and the hotel is super clean. I stay there on business non stop, will actually be there again in 2 weeks.

My recommendation would definitely factor in whether or not you intended on doing Universal or Disney. If geography doesnt matter and you simply want the best hotel/resort experience, it's hard to beat Four Seasons Orlando near WDW.

We stay at the new Margaritaville Cottages Orlando.

They are a whole houses with a private pool for under $400 per night. Easy uber or shuttle to disney.

Hyatt Grand Cypress is awesome. Free shuttles to parks and to downtown disney after hours (check to make sure this is still a thing due to Covid). 5 mins from some of the parks.

The resort has a huge pool with water falls and I believe slides, a gameroom, nonmotorized watersport rentals (paddleboards and stuff), golf, tennis, walking path, etc... It's a great place to bring kids. Last time I went (around Easter) they were charging like a mandatory $40 resort fee which got you access to all of the activity rentals. Definitely worth it.
