Does SW Airlines intentionally wait until all aisle and window seats are full, THEN send on the middle seat fat people?
I freaking hate this airline! Greyhound of the air!

The fat people are also slower and lazier about checking in for their flight and get C boarding.
They also have less sex and are less likely to family board.
You're more than welcome to take the middle seat yourself if you board before the fatties.

Is there an option on other airlines to prevent fatties from sitting next to you?
I can’t find the no-fatty section on my United app

Yes. It's called buying a ticket in F/J. Even if the person next to you is a landwhale, they won't be spilling over into your seat.

Got on a Southwest flight recently and grabbed a window in an empty row, then an older gentleman sat in the aisle seat of my row and pulled a boss move. He promptly opened his tray table and took out his laptop and put on headphones.
Sure, call him an a-hole if you want, but lo and behold, there was an empty seat between us for the whole flight. He put the laptop away after the doors closed and didn’t pull it out again.

There is definitely an art to it. My wife is Asian and when we fly together, I grab the window and she the aisle. She then proceeds to put her carryon bag in the empty seat and starts pulling all sorts of shite out - tablet, snacks, charger, etc. Stays busy fiddling with things until it’s doors are shut and never making eye contact.
They always look for another seat unless none is left. If someone does grab the seat, she just moves over closer to me. If there is one empty seat on the plane, it’s usually between us.

Worst flight of my life was from Fort Lauderdale to DC a good 15 years back.
I almost missed the flight, got on and only seat left was between a married couple who went window / aisle — both >300lbs and talked their fat talk the whole time over me. My back never touched the seat.

I don't have southwest as an option, but the few times I've flown it I don't find the issues you guys enjoy bitching about to be worth bitching about. Its a different way, but I don't see how its any better or worse.
I'm sitting in the cheap seats with toddlers one way or another.

My last two flights this year, an overweight person spilling over towards my side, tried to sit with the armrest up between us. I had to politely ask for it to be in the down position. Smh.
One flight was SW, the other was Delta.

I don’t mind SW, just sharing a story about fat people on planes. I’ve probably taken a thousand flights over the last 25 years; bound to happen. I’ve had great and terrible experiences with every US airline.
