Gift cert. for helicopter tour. We went to Kauai and did it. That was my favorite part of the trip.

Much less money than you were speaking of, but maybe a small fun gift could be a Cavallini Roma Lussa Journals Chocolate 6 x 8, 416 Softbound Leather. It’s an Italian Leather journal and nice ink pen for journaling his trips?

I was considering luggage and bags for he and his wife, thanks for the options guys.
I’ve traveled with him for work, and he has some old luggage/bags, probably from the early 90s. The only thing I fear is, he’s so simple and regimented,, he will continue to use the same old stuff even if I get him some new luggage
I got the Briggs & Riley Baseline cabin bag as a gift from my company and I love it. I would have never normally bought it for myself because I'm cheap and it's $500 but it is really nice.
Lifetime guarantee without a receipt or anything. Truly buy it for life.

Don't imply that the dude needs to do homework on his vacations

I wanna be your employee.
I have no suggestions other than maybe a gift certificate to dinner somewhere they shouldn’t miss in Hawaii?

Tumi travel backpack would ring in right around the 500$ range. Very nice bags.

If he’s like me, he needs to write it down so he doesn’t forget what he did!

How about CLEAR membership or Global Entry for him and his wife? It will help them get through security check quicker.

I make an entry on the Notes app on my phone for each trip. I write a daily log of museums, restaurants, activities, etc. as we do them or at least same day before memory fades.
It's very handy when you can't remember the name of something a month later, or when someone on here asks about a destination.
