Just go hwy 98 or 90.. we took 98 once we got through mobile. It really didn't add much to the time on Google maps. Maybe 35-40 mins.

I don't see why not. Say you're visiting some family near Jekyll island which would take you all the way over to Jacksonville. I'm on day 4 here now though and it's really no big deal. No issues being in our condo either. Beach is packed today. Perfect weather .

It’s up to each condo association whether to open pool or not. Ours is open

OB was pretty packed on Saturday. There was a 2hr wait to get into FloraBama at 6pm, so we walked across to the Ole River side and got drinks there.

Little place in Miramar Beach right on the scenic Gulf Hwy. It's less than a half mile up the road from Captain Dave's on the gulf .

We are looking in that area for a mid June trip. Daughters friend family is staying at Surfside for the week so we are thinking of joining them for four nights.
Reviews don’t seem good, which probably explains the somewhat low prices

Just four. Might end up being three if my daughter stays at the friends place.

I might just say screw it and stay at the Embassy Suites or something

Surfside

Do not stay there. If you want to be close, stay in Majestic sun or one of the two Ariel Dunes in the back. If you stay in Ariel Dunes I you have a direct view of the water. Ariel Dunes II only has water views from the upper floors.

Do not eat at Whales Tail.

Our condo has a bedroom with a queen. Bunkbeds built into the wall in hall and a couch bed. It's ground floor with back porch right out by pool and hot tub. Super easy walk to public beach access. It's like a 30 second walk right across the street. Place isn't super high end but it's in a perfect location. Good for me , my wife, my 2 year old and 10&12 year old stepkids. If you want I can put you in touch with the guy or send you the VRBO link.

Can you please post the VRBO link?
I went to look for the thread that had the tiger droppings members listing their condos, but I can’t find it

I was in Ft Morgan all weekend, but never really ventured out anywhere. Beach was pretty crowded yesterday, but not too bad Friday or Saturday. Even the Buc-Ees was pretty close when we stopped there Thursday. It looked pretty crowded this morning in our way out of town.

Yesterday was one of the most gorgeous days I’ve had on the Gulf Coast. The water temp being above 5 degrees warmer would have made it perfect.

I called a rental company today to request a 30 day rental on a condo since that’s no longer considered short term. Now that it’s apparent that this will most likely last another month it’s their only option so hopefully they are will to make a deal. I can just do Thursday to Monday for the next 4 weeks.
