Don't care.

Still no definitive word on Walton county, but based on Okaloosa and Escambia's plans, it looks like LA folks will be shut out.
I'm sure they're all working with the same guidelines.
Plans at the bottom of the article
I'm going to go ahead and cancel my condo for next week. We found some places in Orange Beach, we'll just be heading over Monday after the memorial day crowd leaves.
We are planning on going back to the beach the week of June 13th (work is making us take vacation). It will be interesting to see if the rental plans and LA quarantine are lifted by that time.

Looks like Bay county will rent to anyone, but the rental would have to be for as along as the quarantine period.
Bay county
So definitely looks like it will be a little while before LA folks can hit the emerald coast.

Give a bogus residential address; keep billing address genuine.

Great for Gulf Shores and Orange Beach
Funny story I read from a friend this weekend. She is a retired doctor and her husband also is retired after selling a business. They are a good looking couple in their late 40’s and went to stay at a friends house somewhere on 30A.
After they walked out the house this old count who lived next door tried to tell them that since they were from La that they had to quarantine inside for 14 days and were not allowed on the beach at all. LOL
My feisty lady friend had a long list of choice words for the Karen. The old lady just stormed off and they haven’t seen her since

Yeah we are happy with our Orange Beach decision.
Was thinking about going to stay at Portifino on Pensacola Beach in late June, but I’m not sure I want to spend money in a state that wants to black list me

Wait, im just catching up on this. Have had a beach booking next weeknd in Destin for 3 months now. If i am an LA resident, i wont be allowed to stay there?

What about RV parks in Florida? Everything I have read talks about condo rye rentals and hotels.

Correct. Better try to get something in OB

We know some folks that own a house in Rosemary. There were there last week and said the sheriff was called out twice on them.

It’s ridiculous. There are a few people here who want this town all to themselves but they want all the amenities that are here due to tourists.
The sheriff asked the residents to stop calling because every time they get a call they are obligated to go out. They are not going to do anything to anyone for “violating” the ordinance. Code enforcement will handle it with the owners.

RV park here in Pensacola Beach is stupid full. Doesn't seem to be anything keeping them closed.

If they haven't canceled your booking, then go. We just returned from 8 days on Okaloosa Island. Booked through AirBnb before all of this started. We were a little apprehensive but it was mostly just like normal. No issues whatsoever.

Did you go through the checkpoint with Louisiana plates? If so, what did you have to do? Any paperwork?

That's our situation. Nothing has been cancelled from their end. Planning to just skirt around the checkpoint and then try not to cough on any local Karens.

That's correct, but I've heard from multiple people from Alabama that they were able to stay in Florida rentals no problem. I can't speak for Louisiana checkpoints or anything, but I believe it's the owners of the rentals who are taking the risk for being fined. I haven't heard any stories of any police officers evicting out-of-state people from condos they've rented.

The issue is Florida not being able to rent to people from La because we have cooties.
Hopefully this all gets sorted out soon.

Does anybody know where some overnight public parking is in Orange Beach? My family and in-laws are staying at the Four Seasons this weekend, but they only allow one parking pass per reservation for Memorial Day weekend. So I am trying to figure out where our other cars can safely park. I think we are only a couple minutes from the Cotton Bayou public beach access area.
