Is it an indecent thing to go off of a hiking trail and walk through the woods when it is hunting season?

Yes it is. One time I encountered a guy while ground hunting for deer in the Talladega NF. He wasn't on the Pinhoti hiking trail, he was hiking the fire break right where I was setup for deer. Scared the crap out of me to turn around real fast and see a man standing there.

We talked, he apologized, but honestly I'm starting to think these hikers do this shite on purpose. They don't like hunting and it's their passive resistance to it without it being hunter harassment. Hey, I'm gonna go walking through the woods, not on a hiking trail, but where we know hunters would be, during deer season, and act like we're unaware!
We do too. Every Sunday at church. My wife will also drive to Alabama Power, Charter, Alfa Insurance, etc. to pay our bills using a check to keep from using a credit card or automatic withdrawal. Nobody is getting an automatic withdrawal from our accounts. Not happening. Too much fraud nowadays.

Shoulder buddies

Mental illness is real folks.

This guy was pushing his buggy around Walmarks yesterday having conversation with his shoulder buddy. My wife said it's probably for emotional support. I kept my eye on him just in case he went crazy while we were in there. What in tarnation!

Inb4 taking pics of random ppl is weird. Oh you think that one guy walking around talking to his shoulder buddy represents all mentally ill?!?!?!

I'll catch hell for admitting this but it was Captain D's! LOL. You either hate it or love it.

I read that is how some venomous snakes hunt. By hanging around waiting on prey, especially squirrels.

Timber rattlesnake.
I hit a drive thru yesterday and my total was $18.91. I gave the kid a $20 dollar bill and a penny. He said sir your order is $18.91 do you have ninety one cents? I said no, I gave you $20.01 so I'd get back a dollar and a dime instead of getting a dollar and 9 cents. I could see the lightbulb turn on above his head at that moment. Ohhh, I see.

What the hell are they teaching kids nowadays?

I sat there for 2 hours before I realized he was there. After that I kept my eye on him. Saw 3 does.

Just kidding, its a timber rattlesnake that was near me all afternoon deer hunting from the ground. He sat there til dark, never moved.

Same. Alabama only requires a hat. I wear a vest and a hat walking and take them off in a tree.
There should be one during deer season, same as hunters.

Last weekend we were dragging a deer out of the woods using the Pinhoti Trail in Alabama. We stopped to take a break when all of a sudden a hiker walks up on us. Young guy, no orange at all. We both explained to him it's rifle season and he's walking through a WMA without orange and the dangers of it. Of course he was too smart for us and was in a hurry to get to some marker somewhere and kept going. Some ppl are too smart for their own good.

In case you're wondering the Pinhoti trail goes through the Talladega National Forest and within that footprint is Hollins WMA. There's way too many Alabama rednecks itching to pull their trigger for someone to be in the woods without orange. No, there's no safe zone around that trail either, as there shouldn't be, wear orange!
The wife asked how old Cignetti was so I pulled up Wikipedia and found this gem.

I can't take someone serious that wears a boggan on their head 24/7 and also indoors. He's like Linus, who can't be without his blanket.

I'm reading that this guy is a father of a student at KSU. His son had been getting jumped for months so dad comes to move his son out of the dorm or apartment he was living in and while doing that they both got jumped. Dad pulls his gun and defends his son and himself. That's self defense in Harlans Book.
