Plumber is correct in what he said, but it is almost never necessary for residential generators. For the large hospital or shopping center generators, they need 8-10 feet of pipe (normally 2x actual pipe size) for the start-up. The demand when those behemoths fire up is staggering and they can suck the line empty, choke out and will not run without having this "tank" of gas to fire-up. I've never seen/heard of a residential sized generator that needed the oversized pipe for start-up.
That was so he could pay his plumber buddy $2k and still keep $2500 for himself
I'm waiting to see how we feel after riding in spanish town. Seen them a couple times but as long as we're still topside, plan to make it out there.

Made my first trip to OL's last week after houston supercross...they have a new lifetime customer.
We used Louis Mechanical when we switched to a tankless a few years ago. I had a tank in the attic and made the swap. I think ours is a Navien. They came out to flush it a year or two after the install. I think swapping is pretty straight forward if you already have gas.
He's still kicking, just retiring to go enjoy those Friday nights/Saturday mornings
I got this from Schwab a few days ago...my average is over 2x the offer so I'm going to hold.

Pretty sure they used those 2 big hills of bauxite back in the late 00s - early 10s. You can still go feed the ducks though

Rouse's and Super1 in Lafayette. I've only found it at one market in Baton Rouge so far. Called their HQ in Iowa last year and asked why they stop short of the capital and she said they can't get drivers to make the trip here
I have a ventless and use it anytime the temps drop but I still don't understand how I can burn a natural gas fire indoors without getting CO poisoning. Am I dumb or are you supposed to crack a window when using it?
