LSU will be breaking in a new offensive line this upcoming season after losing four key starters to the NFL Draft.

ESPN writer Harry Lyles Jr. thinks the Tigers' offensive line will be the biggest area of concern for LSU in 2025.
quote:

6. LSU Tigers
Area of concern
: Offensive line

I don't know that LSU has to necessarily worry about the offensive line because of moves made this offseason, but it has to be something to keep an eye on just because of the magnitude of the losses. The Tigers had one of the best tackle duos in all of college football last season in Will Campbell and Emery Jones, who were first- and third-round NFL draft picks. They lost four starters across the line in total. DJ Chester and Tyree Adams are back in different spots, while Brian Kelly added Braelin Moore from Virginia Tech. -- Harry Lyles Jr.
Tyree Adams and Weston Davis are expected to replace Will Campbell and Emery Jones at the tackle spots and will have big shoes to fill.

Several others, including transfers Braelin Moore (Virginia Tech) and Josh Thompson (Northwestern), will compete for the interior spots. Talented freshman Carius Curne will also be in the mix at guard.

Returning starters DJ Chester and Moore are the top two candidates for the center position.

What do you think will be LSU's biggest area of concern?

Got to have better Center play.

Yep, start with not moving the ball pre-snap.

That was the entire issue last season and when Dellinger got injured in the first half of TAMU, there was no protection for him. Then losing the other guard and you give up 7 sacks vs UF.
The center is the most important position on the line to be able to call protections.

Been saying that since last year…this is Brad’s year to show if he’s a good coach versus just recruiter. Has the talent now has to coach them up!

It may sound redundant, but other than S, this is the most obvious question mark going into the season.
So goes the O line, so goes the LSU W/L record.

Last year LSU had problems running the ball. It was more to do with scheme than talent.
If the scheme is corrected, I think this year's offensive line will do well, and the tigers will run and pass with equal success

Biggest area of concern is winning a season opener.

The OLine is obvious. I would put questions about Sloane as an OC up there as well. I'm undecided on him, as every LSU fan should be. Hopefully he proves to be elite.

Chester will have to make some big gains this year. He was an absolute liability last year.

Imagine believing the rest on the nation follows LSU football down to areas of concern. They don’t.

He’s an ESPN reporter. Pointing out things obvious to fans of the team but not so much to non-fans and casuals is his goddamned job, and he did it well.

While I understand that you are trying to make the point of the writer stating the obvious, there is differentiating opinions on whether water is actually wet…

The OL will be the biggest issue going into this season. CBK better make sure they are coached up and the chemistry is great. @ Clemson will be a huge test. CBK in the past has not had this team ready for the first game of the season. I do not see anything different this year until he proves he can win an opener at LSU.
