Former LSU running back Ju’Juan Johnson has committed to Syracuse out of the transfer portal.
Johnson, a former four-star athlete from Lafayette, La. (Lafayette Christian Academy), came to LSU as a defensive back but switched to running back during his freshman season last year, rushing for just 14 yards on seven carries. He also had five receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown.
Johnson played behind sophomore Caden Durham and true freshman Harlem Berry this past season and rushed 151 yards on 38 carries and two touchdowns.
Coming out of high school, Johnson was the most productive quarterback in Louisiana prep history with a record 14,451 total yards and 171 total touchdowns.
Johnson appeared in every game over the last two seasons and will have two years of eligibility at his next school.
