Well, Narcisse wasn't too happy with Blackwell's Tweet:

I seem to remember Matt Flynn having a pretty good LSU career and having to wait his turn

@smoothboy, lol what? The dude literally won a BCS National Championship and had a 9 year NFL career worth over 20 million dollars. Moron.

I think Will Blackwell posted his opinion respectfully and Narcisse responded respectfully. Nothing wrong with any of that. I feel like Narcisse sees that McMillan stuck with the Tigers all the way through graduation and never really played. Then he sees Lindsey Scott leave the program and win a title in Juco and have a lot of fun then get himself into a D1 school where he'll have a better chance at starting. I think the Lindsey Scott option probably sounded better to him and he went with that. As he said before, they wanted him to basically be a wildcat QB and he doesn't want to be a RB, he wants to be a QB.

Absolutely correct. These are two people conversing in a respectful manner through Twitter about an unfortunate situation. Well done by both and Narcisse has handled himself with poise and grace throughout this situation.

Narcisse gave a great response. He's right. Sucks he's gonna leave, but I understand why he did it. Nothing but positive vibes for him.

Maybe they’re both a little bit correct.

I agree. The thing that is getting to some fans is that when Narcisse blew out his knee the 2nd time LSU stood by him. He is just now getting back to where he actually can compete but he threw in the towel. It seems premature.

Tebow ran a package his first time seeing this he field. As did Dak.

Both of them were the heir apparent. Lowell is not.

Who is the heir apparent? Lot of time to figure that out.

had a teammate that was 3rd string corner at Southern Miss and only playing special teams at 215 lb and ran a 4.3. He transferred to a FCS school and was first team all american after his first year and had a 2nd round grade his following year. Played 8 year in the league, had he stuck it out he would have wasted his career. I applaud Lowell for having confidence in his talent, you only get one shot.

agreed. So many posters here want players to stay and "compete." But this is an elite football school. What if a guy stays and competes, yet never sees the field. That's a wasted career, when he could've gone elsewhere and played. I don't blame Narcisse one bit.

Honestly, that was a very mature response by Narcisse.

I go back to what Kim Mulkey told Kramer Robertson after his sophomore year when he was considering transferring. If you’re not good enough to play at LSU, you need to transfer, otherwise stay and compete

"If that was the case (being afraid to compete) I woulda left this summer"...Uhh, Narcisse, you did leave this summer.

He meant before starting fall camp with LSU

Man, don't call him out, don't respond when you are called out. Just let it be, it is better for all involved and the program, which is bigger than any one current, former or future player.

LSU fans are delusional....LSU once recruited Dak Prescott to play safety.... Newsflash, guys want to play the position they feel they are best suited for. If LSU sees LN as just some gadget player then he has every right to go to a school that can utilize his entire skill set.

Being a gadget player is the only value to LSU for LN. The coaches carefully evaluated LN, and decided that spending time to appease LN with special packages was counter productive, and a waste of precious time. LN was processed. Nothing more. Just like LS, and JM. Truth is, the one dimensional "dt" qb is of value on teams with little supporting cast, and poor O-line play. THIS is where they shine. They are wasted space for a program like LSU unless they are proficient passers who can read defenses, and go through progressions. Like Danny Etling, and what is expected of Joe Burrow. This is also why this staff is excited about Parrish. Parrish, and Burrow look to be the same qb.

Can we be honest now? LN is NOT any type of proven qb. He missed over half of his high school years, and basically all of his senior year. He was a man almost nots with his size, but that shite dont float in the SEC where everyone is big. He was not a polished an and was and will struggle anywhere he goes if they try and make him a pure passer. Yes LN, for now, you ARE a situational package type qb. Sorry

I wish Narcisse well. I don’t understand why anyone would be mad.

The young man has to do what "he" believes is best for him.

You can look at it a little differently and make the case that he is a competitor. He’s leaving a school he loves so he can actually play. I don’t blame him, he hasn’t had a chance to really get on the field in like 3 years. Dude just wants to play, I don’t really blame him.
user avatar
Smoothboy70691 months
Right that man wants to play organized football frick practice and scrimmages
user avatar
rbdallas91 months
for him to play in games, he must be "the QB" in practice

The article is about Narcisse, not McMillian. Narcisse hasn't been at LSU for 3 years. I suppose the coming trend will be that every 1st and 2nd year player will decide to transfer when they can't beat out the other players ahead of them on the roster. This isn't about playing time, bc that's what the coaches were trying to do is get Narcisse on the field. So what's really going on here?
