From His Blog

No WoW in 2018, not that that’s a surprise, but this book should be cool nonetheless.

I’m sorry, but frick anyone who buys it. They’re simply enabling this fat bastard to continually frick over his fans while he continues to eat his way to an early grave. I’ll only buy this after ADOS is complete.

I actually assumed I would buy it. I really enjoyed his Westeros history, but then I saw it's over 900 pages. That's fricking ridiculous. It's longer than any book in the series.

And just think...this is only the first of two volumes on th subject. He can work on the second one as an excuse not to work on the final two books.

The man is a joy!

I think I am done with him till (if) a dream of Spring.

Remember when he talked about the push to get WoW out around the time of the HBO premier to push back the book storyline in relation to the show? A year ago?

I ‘member.

And he typically avoids declarative statements. If he is saying in April there is no way Winds of Winter comes out this year, decent chance you can scratch off next year too.

He’s pretty much solidified himself as the absolute worst.

Yeah, at least GRRM is somewhat congenial with fans and produces some material, even if its not what we want.

Rothfuss is just a straight prick with everyone and produces absolutely nothing. frick that guy.

While that might be true and I'm in agreement, Rothfuss isn't twenty plus years into trying to finish his series (yet).

Though, Martin did get the first three books out in short order, while Rothfuss is strangling greatly.

Since it was handwritten on vellum with a quill pen, he required my help in transcribing the text to a more modern format: WordStar 4.0, on a DOS computer. Took a while, but a few weeks ago I was able to ship it off to my editors on both sides of the Atlantic,

Wow... So this fat frick, for God knows how long, has just been copying down the entire book onto the fricking computer? Not writing it. Just fricking copying it?!

Is this fat frick serious? He took weeks, if not months, just to fricking copy damn near 1,000 pages from pen and paper to digital?

Holy. fricking. shite.

That's 900 manuscript pages, it'll be much shorter, page number wise, when it makes it to print. Did you stop reading there?

Because:

s a hefty book, almost a thousand manuscript pages (okay, 989, if you want to be precise). That’s not quite as long as A GAME OF THRONES or any of the later volumes in A SONG FOR ICE AND FIRE

All the novels were longer as manuscripts.
