Don't hate. Now I see why my mom loved these when I was a kid. The first one was a pretty fun read.

What do you think? So far I’m 13 chapters in and it’s so fricking slow. Took forever to reset everything and just kind of drones on and on lol. I’m sure it will pick up like his books always do but damn this one seems really slow in developing.
Edit: ok definitely picks up. Here we go!

Blehhh I did not like this one .
No real resolutions at all..they didn’t find the explorer.. the author doing his own exploration in Brazil.. it did nothing for me and I felt like it was a waste of time

I didn't see your post until after your edit. Glad you're enjoying it now. Lots of nods to 007 in this installment, and I loved that about it. My one complaint from Jack Carr thus far would be the overly detailed, escalating torture chapters. It's just not my thing, but I'm sure many of his fans enjoy them. It won't make me stop reading future installments, but I find myself wanting to get past them at this point.

Presumed Innocent...about halfway through. More of a slow burn to start than I anticipated. Solid so far but not grabbing me as much as I thought it would.

One of my top 10 favorite books. I haven' seen the current show yet but keep telling myself I will. Would love to know your thoughts once you finish reading

The emperor of all maladies
And also some James Patterson Alex cross books from the last few years.. these are easy reads as it takes just a few days to knock out thanks to 2 page chapters and all the dead space of the books

Song of Susanna - Stephen King
Really enjoying the Dark Tower series. Kinda sad I only have one left after this.

#15 in the Mitch Bowditch series. Similar to Joe Pickett series. Bowditch is a game warden in Maine.
