Given the options: Woodward will always choose a high floor over a high ceiling.
He would have never promoted Ryan Day or Lincoln Riley. Not his style to evaluate risers. He wants the proven stock.

Plans change… Sexton has told Woodward exactly what must happen for their to be an agreement reached. As it stands there is no agreement in place, but there is an understanding as to what would be offered should we cross that bridge

I think I might too, but Aranda is not a woody type hire so I see him being under jimbo in woodys eyes

Im not obsessed with Jimbo. Woodward must be extremely careful who he hires. Not only for the good of the University (Title IX stuff) but for his own job.
He doesn't have the record of hiring unproven or up and coming coaches. He will swing for fence with a proven winner.
These are just the 3 names I was told were considered and One has an offer.
Personally I think it is a done deal...but that is my opinion.
