I think it may be a smokescreen that will smokescreen the original smokescreen. That will lead the way for an additional screen of smoke to smokescreen the dark puffy cloud masking the main smokescreen which is the LSU coaching search.

Lane is literally Lincoln Riley caught at a sorority dance with a 19 yr old! Lane is better at everything Riley is good at with the exception of not managing his own personal optics. Anybody who says they want Riley but not Kiff is just tired of the goofiness that we have had to deal with since Saban left. I'm in that group but I know this...Lane can out-coach Riley all day on the offensive side of the ball. He's the best OC in CFB.

I’m not a big fan of hiring Kiffin, but that has less to do with his coaching and more to do with his lack of career stability and his tendency to move around often.
That said, I would take Lane six days a week and twice on Sunday over BOB.
