Hes in the top 10 at Baylor. They recruit in the 20s.

His recruiting class is currently ranked #33. Granted it's Baylor but it's a valid concern.

Stop parroting orgeron and Napier propaganda

The most retarded comment of the day.

Baylor has a worse recruiting class than Iowa State. That’s unacceptable. Has nothing to do with propaganda. He’s an amazing coach and O is as retarded as you

I immediately named two. The guy can’t recruit effectively. Certainly not enough in the SEC. If you can’t accept this, you’re hopeless

I’m not accepting it because looking at the players he was primary or secondary for recruiting that went to LSU is pretty impressive. They pulled a lot more players than they lost. Every coach loses some recruits to other teams. It’s just how it works. There were some pretty damn good defenses during his time as DC, so he obviously didn’t struggle as much as you say.

currently 6th in big 12 conference; 33 overall. Iowa state has a better class. Plus they’re at 19 commits so it’s not like they just don’t have the players yet. The class is almost finished

Arandas first year they were 41st nationally

It's Baylor. On average Rhule's classes were 35th or 36th in the country.

Could he land all of those guys as head coach? That’s the valid concern

This is more myth than reality. Is Aranda an ace recruiter? No, not YET. He seems to be doing fine at Baylor.

If we get to Aranda I'm assuming Riley said no.

The only other plus recruiting options compared to Aranda are Jimbo and maybe Napier. Tucker hasn't shown that his recruiting ha translated to anything significant at MSU (he's similar to Aranda in that he's recruiting at/near their historical level).

There is also no guarantee that Napier's recruiting will translate to LSU, especially in actual scouting. Napier hasn't been recruiting against elite guys himself. Also, given his results on the field, he's clearly recruiting for site rankings and not for independent scouting (given his lack of success at actually winning games with his alleged huge recruiting advantage).

According to whom exactly? He recruited some of the best linebackers to ever play at LSU. None of his classes have ever led me to believe he can’t recruit.

And in his first year recruiting was restricted due to covid... 41st isn't bad when it's a first year coach that didn't get to establish relationships.

Again, I’m not arguing that. Dave just does not come off as someone who would be committed to NIL innovation/recruiting

That’s a big red flag

he was beat out consistently on some of our first targets. See Monty Rice and Nakobe Dean

And yet he recruited Pat Queen and made a first round pick out of him. Your argument is now over.

Because he doesn't come off as a used car salesman in TV interviews?

You know who else seems bland and boring on TV? Saban. He is nothing like his wannabe protoges (who are as greasy as they come like Dooley and Napier).

He pulled Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones in Louisiana.. I know Jones didn’t pan out but, it’s fricking dumb to say he “hasn’t been recruiting against elite guys” and just fricking ignore his days at Alabama

He pulled in:
Kristian Fulton
Tyler Shelvin
Jacob Phillips
BJ Ojulari
Kary Vincent
Jacobian Guillory
Glen Logan
Patrick Queen

Among others.

I think he’d be just fine recruiting players to suit up in the P&G.
