Check out the news. It's in epidemic proportions. So far, they haven't gone back much more than 40 years for the revelations. But the new year just started. They don't need to be substantiated, just a weak might have does the trick.

I read it as she was cooperating but then stopped when she retained a lawyer to set up a lawsuit
They couldn’t substantiate the allegations based on what she initially said but found enough shite to fire him anyway. Which pretty much means she will win if it goes to court or get a fat settlement if it doesn’t.
All her lawyer has to say is “why did you fire him if he wasn’t guilty?$$$$$”

That's very hard to believe, and is damage control by the school to protect themselves from lawsuits from Dick Rod, and from the woman in question.
