I suspect you're correct about the information coming from agents/coaches trying to get more out of their current jobs. However, I don't believe for a second that Feldman is naive enough to take this information at face value; he knows what he's doing, but lives for the clicks.

Stoops is significantly better than O at least.
But Feldman’s primary source at LSU is Orgeron and everyone else at LSU, or remotely involved with LSU, knows that. So it is entirely possible Feldman is being fed BS.

Woodward has done everything possible to land a big fish. He’s been rebuffed every time when trying to poach a big time coach. Offered astronomical money, total control of program, blank check for support staff, and on and on. Nothing more Woodward can do. And I would say Miles and O are still fricking the program with the open investigations out there. Maybe that is what is keep the big name coaches from taking the leap.
Woodward likes Stoops and is the safest coach to hire out of the tier B and C candidates. Low floor and would bring instant stability to the program.

At this point, Bruce is throwing shite against the wall and hoping that it will stick.
It’s almost more entertaining watching him come up with a new candidate each week than the actual search itself.
